A perfect example of a graphic that becomes dated almost immediately after publishing, this was nonetheless a fascinating assignment. The roots of the Twitter "tree" date back nearly thirty years, and include a now-famous St Louisan (Jack Dorsey), but the facts at the leafy top of this monster kept evolving almost hourly as Mike and I pushed toward the deadline. The published graphic got picked up by TechCrunch.com and "went viral," as the kids say.
